Dodo sings the news and upcoming performances

"Come with me where the dodo sings, where there's fish that fly and birds that swim, and the air is full of every thing... except the sound of..." So begins 'How Swings The Moon for You?' The first CD in a series collectively called 'Where The Dodo Sings' by Andy Astle with I O D I N E  T I M E being the second. The next installments will be 'The Fan-Dancer's Fear of the Hurricane' and 'Scarecrow'.

My work occupies a space in the hinterland between the worlds of 'Singer-songwriter', performance poet and instrumentalist. Prior to my solo work I was involved in other art and music projects, most notably the 'Bronte Brothers' performance art group. 'Other People' with Dave Ball of 'Soft Cell' and 'The Grid'. 'The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain' of which I am a founder member.

I have played many of London's leading 'acoustic' venues as a solo artist. As an instrumentalist I performed in Rhys Chatham's 'An Angel Moves Too Fast To See' a symphony for 101 electric guitars and more recently Glenn Branca's 'Symphony No.13 - Hallucination City' for 100 electric guitars. I am currently playing guitar with 'The Band of Holy Joy'. My CDs have been played on B.B.C. Radio 3's 'Late Junction'. I have also played and taken part in programmes on B.B.C. Radio 1, 2, 3, & 4 as well as performed live on Resonance FM with a few TV appearances here and in the U.S. and Canada along the way.

"So what shall we conclude...?"
